Le Rayon Vert by Isabey c1927

Le Rayon Vert by Isabey: launched in 1927.


Fragrance Composition:

Le Rayon Vert is Isabey's answer to Millot's Crepe de Chine which had come out 2 years prior.

So what does it smell like? It is classified as a green, aldehydic chypre fragrance for women.
  • Top notes: bergamot, petitgrain, aldehydes, lemon, galbanum 
  • Heart notes: gardenia, carnation, Grasse jasmine, Bulgarian rose and orris
  • Base notes: vanilla, cedar, amber, sandalwood, benzoin, oakmoss, vetiver, patchouli, musk



Bottle:

The perfume bottle for Le Rayon Vert d'Isabey is a clear glass cylinder with a glass stopper, this bottle was used for other Isabey scents. The bottle measures 3" tall.





Fate of the Fragrance:


Discontinued, date unknown.
